Another day--another adventure.
Thought For the Day
The Ultimate Self Realization Course
"Godhead is light. Nescience is darkness. Where there is Godhead there is no nescience."
Another Day, Another Adventure
One of my favorite sayings is, "Another Day, Another Adventure." This saying, while only apparently applicable for materialists, is 100% applicable for those who have embraced the ecstatic pathway of Krishna consciousness. Krishna's devotee has declared war against maya. He is fighting a fierce battle on two different fronts. From within he is battling it out with lust, anger, madness, illusion, and envy and externally he is the warpath to firmly establish Krishna consciousness as the highest truth, the perfection of religion and the hearts and minds of everyone in this dark material world. Thus for the Lord's devotee there is nothing more ecstatic than to awaken to another super adventurous day of defeating maya within and without. In this connection Srila Prabhupada writes as follows in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam 5.18.9:We should pray, bahir nṛsiṁho hṛdaye nṛsiṁhaḥ: "Let Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva sit in the core of my heart, killing all my bad propensities. Let my mind become clean so that I may peacefully worship the Lord and bring peace to the entire world."

P.S. Did you know that by singing the Nrsimha prayers every day that you are begging to be the deliverer of the entire world? (Peace means Krishna consciousness.)

Hare Krishna, dear Srila Gurudev.
Please accept my humble obeisances
All glories to You and Gurumata.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
I want to ask a question, which bothers me for a long time. This material world is eternal. If all living beings are liberated, other new living beings will enter the world. And this will go on forever. And You are determined to liberate all the fallen souls, so does that mean that a spiritual master is doomed to live forever in the material world? I see how much pain your material body is causing You and how much suffering You are going through, and I am very concerned about You. I do not want You to suffer.
Please dispel my doubts.

From: Chennai, IndiaMy Dear Arindama,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
I do not know what is Krishna’s plan for me. I will do whatever He wants to do. From my side I desire to be the deliverer of all the fallen souls back to Godhead and Srila Prabhupada told me that I could desire in this way. Regarding someone remaining in the material world to continue saving the fallen, conditioned souls versus returning
to spiritual world, it is possible for a devotee to simultaneously be in both worlds as confirmed by Srila
Prabhupada in his purport to SB 7.4.34:
"From authoritative scripture it is learned that Prahlāda Mahārāja still lives in Vaikuṇṭhaloka as well as within this material world on the planet Sutala. This transcendental quality of existing simultaneously in different places is another qualification of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Goloka eva nivasaty akhilātma-bhūtaḥ: [Bs. 5.37] the Lord appears in the core of everyone's heart, yet He exists on His own planet, Goloka Vṛndāvana. A devotee acquires qualities almost the same as those of the Lord because of unalloyed devotional service. Ordinary living beings cannot be so qualified, but a devotee can be qualified like the Supreme Personality of Godhead, not in full but partially."
I hope this meets you in the best of health.
Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
