Yamunacarya Was Disguested by Sex

Śrī Yāmunācārya, a great devotee in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, was formerly a king who very much enjoyed sex but after becoming a devotee and thus getting a higher taste from Krishna consciousness he said:

yad-avadhi mama cetaḥ kṛṣṇa-pādāravinde
nava-nava-rasa-dhāmany udyataṁ rantum āsīt
tad-avadhi bata nārī-saṅgame smaryamāne
bhavati mukha-vikāraḥ suṣṭhu niṣṭhīvanaṁ ca

"Since I have been engaged in the transcendental loving service of Kṛṣṇa, realizing ever-new pleasure in Him, whenever I think of sex pleasure I spit at the thought, and my lips curl with distaste."

This is the experience of those who take Krishna consciousness seriously. After experiencing the higher taste of Krishna consciousness they find the lower taste of sex pleasure to be disgusting like eating stool.

Question: Is there Sex in the Spiritual World?

Hare Krishna Prabhu,

Prabhu, in this material body, we have sexual desires. This sex is the need of our material body. And we are asked to control this sexual desire. And if we indulge in illicit sex, we fall down. My question is, in the spiritual body also, do we have sex desire and do we also have to control it. And if we can't control sex desire in spiritual body and indulge in sex, then, do we fall down from the spiritual world?

Srila Prabhupada has said in this connection in a Room Conversation in Germany on 20 June 1974:

"Yes, in the spiritual life there is no sex life. In the spiritual world there is no sex intercourse. There is no sex life. Although there is man and woman, there is no sex intercourse. By chanting the glories of God there in the spiritual world, they get so much great pleasure that is far beyond this pleasure of sex life. If you have something best then you forget low grade pleasure. So this sex pleasure is lower grade pleasure. It is not pleasure, it is illusion, but in material world this is the greatest pleasure."

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
