We Are Out to Deliver the World

In Los Angeles on 11 December 1973 before the Indians starting joining this movement Srila Prabhupada ordered his American and European disciples,"..just become perfect in the understanding of this science and become guru and deliver the whole world." So now we are requesting all the devotees of ISKCON to kindly fully dedicate your lives for delivering the suffering souls of this material existence back to Home, back to Godhead. Kindly make this goal of your life to become a pure devotee of Krishna qualified to see Him face to face, eye to eye, and fully empowered to deliver the suffering souls of this material world back to their original home in the Spiritual Sky. If we adopt this mood, our lives will be unlimitedly glorious and we will go down in history as the saviors of the world.

So what are we waiting for? We must fully embrace this mood now!!!

Question: Can I Desire to Go Back to Godhead?

Dear Srila Gurudeva,
please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I have a desire to wrap it up, and leave this place of misery.

Some devotees say it's a form impersonalism,,escapism. Real devotees doesnt try escape suffering, they just serve, please Krishna.

I appreciate your powerful words, cuting my mental platform down to pieces. I now know that Lord Krishna had sent me the most greatest Spiritual Master. You are saving me from my dumbfound brainless head of mine.

Now I just promise to hold on to You and Gurumata until you lead me all the way back.

Your desire to go back to Godhead is wonderful! Here's what Srila Prabhupada says about your desire in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam, First Canto,Chapter 6, Text 26:

"The life of a sincere devotee of the Lord is thus explained in a nutshell by Nārada Muni by his personal example. Such a devotee, after his initiation by the Lord or His bona fide representative, takes very seriously chanting of the glories of the Lord and traveling all over the world so that others may also hear the glories of the Lord. Such devotees have no desire for material gain. They are conducted by one single desire: to go back to Godhead. This awaits them in due course on quitting the material body. Because they have the highest aim of life, going back to Godhead, they are never envious of anyone, nor are they proud of being eligible to go back to Godhead. Their only business is to chant and remember the holy name, fame and pastimes of the Lord and, according to personal capacity, to distribute the message for others' welfare without motive of material gain."

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
