 We Are Out to Save the World

My dear reader, there is no need to live a life of mediocrity simply eating, sleeping, mating, and defending until you die. Lord Caitanya has blessed us with the most cutting edge exciting lifestyles in all of existence, spiritual revolutionaries blessed with the order to save the world. But how to do that? In this regard Srila Rupa Goswami has written:
 
vāco vegaṁ manasaḥ krodha-vegaṁ
jihvā-vegam udaropastha-vegam
etān vegān yo viṣaheta dhīraḥ
sarvām apīmāṁ pṛthivīṁ sa śiṣyāt

"A sober person who can tolerate the urge to speak, the mind's demands, the actions of anger and the urges of the tongue, belly and genitals is qualified to make disciples all over the world."
 
Srila Prabhupada explained that this verse can also be understood that if one controls these urges he can make the whole world his disciples.
 
Therefore this is the insiders secret of how we can make the whole world Krishna conscious. We simply have to bring these urges completely under control.  That we have not done so yet tells us that we are still deficient in subduing these urges.

I always go through your messages and I feel so much encouragement whenever I read them. I am so grateful to you Guru Maharaja. Your thoughts about spreading Krishna consciousness all over world are just wonderful. But I feel it is a very difficult job because most of the people want to enjoy this material world as much as they can. They think that this is the only life they are given and there is void after that. They are far away from Krishna. Please guide me how to make them krishna conscious.

It is indeed the most difficult seemingly impossible job to attract the people to become Krishna conscious. It is compared to hunting for a rhinoceros.  It is practically impossible to be successful in shooting a rhinoceros. But if one is successful, it is considered a great thing. Thus we should always be enthusiastic to try for "shooting the rhinoceros" of making the world Krishna conscious. In this way, if we fail, everybody will say, "Never mind. Nobody 
can shoot a rhinoceros anyway." And if we succeed, then everyone will say, "Just see, what a wonderful thing they have done."
 
The secret for attracting others to Krishna consciousness is that we must
become more and more Krishna conscious ourselves because the more you have Krishna, the more you become empowered to give Krishna.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
