We would all like to live in an ideal world of peace, prosperity, and happiness. But how many of us are truly willing to become persons of ideal character so that such an ideal world can actually become manifest? That is difficulty. We all want to see the change, but practically none of us are willing to be the change. Those who are actually qualified to lead the world, to change the world are those who have fully devoted themselves to being persons of ideal character with their every thought, word, and deed in all times, places, and circumstances.

In practical terms Ideal character means to absorb ourselves fully in loving service to God. This the factual purpose of our existence. Lord Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is emanating us from Himself eternally for the sole purpose of enjoying unlimitedly sweet loving relationships with each and every one of us for all of eternity. Thus it's time for us to wise up and get back to the factual, actual purpose of our existences. Are you ready?

My understanding is that I exist because I am an eternal emanation from Krishna, a spiritual spark or jiva. And the purpose of my existence is to serve Krishna, namely through the transparent medium of the bona fide spiritual master. Am I correct?

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
