Do Not Cheat Yourself
Do not cheat yourself by focusing your life on material sense gratification, which is the mentality of an animal. Human consciousness means Krishna consciousness or God consciousness. In other words to truly be a human you must focus your life on self realization, not sense gratification. This is the only way that you can truly be happy. The so-called happiness of material sense gratification is illusory happiness. It is not genuine happiness. It does NOT satisfy the self within. It only titillates the senses, which are a covering of the self.

My Dear. Aluko,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
If we make getting our material needs our first necessity, we will always have great difficulty in getting them. But if we make developing love of God our first priority, by His grace our material necessities will easily be covered. So it is up to us to now become intelligent enough to understand what we should prioritize in life.
I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.
Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
