Relish Unlimited Bliss

In this world everyone gets some degree of enjoyment. According to their karma, some get more enjoyment and some get less enjoyment. But that enjoyment is not real enjoyment. It is only the illusion of enjoyment. If one wants real enjoyment, he must come to the actual platform, the platform on which one swims forever in an ocean of unlimited nectarean bliss.

Question: Why We Came to Material World?

Hare Krishna to you Sankarshan Das Adhikari ,

I understand that we need to go back home, to Krishna in the spiritual world. I don’t need convincing that this material world is a place of misery and suffering. It’s the same over and over again...birth...little happiness....lots of suffering...and death.

But I don’t understand why/how we ended up here in this material world in the first place. Why are we here?
Did we have a choice to come here? Or not?

Answer: Foolish Attempt to Enjoy Separately

We came here because of a foolish desire to try to enjoy separately from the Lord. Krishna is supremely independent, and we, being part of Him, share His quality of independence to a minute degree. Therefore we possess the choice to love Him or leave Him. Sometimes the living beings make the foolish choice to try to imitate Him and thus enter into this world where one can foolishly think that He is God. But then, if by good fortune, he comes into contact with a bona fide spiritual master, he can realize his mistake and return to his original home in the spiritual world.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
