Creating A World Free of Suffering
In the Ninth Canto, Chapter 10, Verse 53 the Srimad Bhagavatam states:
"When Lord Ramacandra, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, was the King of this world, all bodily and mental suffering, disease, old age, bereavement, lamentation, distress, fear and fatigue were completely absent. There was even no death for those who did not want it."
Srila Prabhupada writes as follows in his purport to this verse:
"All these facilities existed because of Lord Ramacandra's presence as the King of the entire world. A similar situation could be introduced immediately, even in this age called Kali, the worst of all ages. It is said, kali-kale nama-rupe krsna-avatara: Krishna descends in this Kali-yuga in the form of His holy name -- Hare Krishna, Hare Rama. If we chant offenselessly, Rama and Krishna are still present in this age. The kingdom of Rama was immensely popular and beneficial, and the spreading of this Hare Krishna movement can immediately introduce a similar situation, even in this Kali-yuga."
This above verse and purport is indeed truly amazing. Simply by spreading this Hare Krishna movement we can create a world completely free from suffering. So let's do it. Let's try to make the whole world Krishna conscious as soon as possible, indeed the sooner the better!

Question: Is Strict Following Fanaticism?
I've heard that strictly following the regulated principles of bhakti is fanaticism. Is this true?Your student
Answer: Criticizing Strict Following is Fanaticism
Fanaticism means to blindly, sentimentally follow something without any philosophical or scientific understanding. Srila Prabhupada taught us to strictly follow the principles of Krishna consciousness, not blindly, but with proper philosophical understanding. Therefore one who understands the teachings of Krishna and acts accordingly is not in any way a fanatic. Rather the real fanatics are those who label the strict followers of Krishna consciousness as fanatics because these foolish critics make such unsubstantiated criticisms without any legitimate philosophical or scientific basis. I hope that this makes this matter clear for you. If you understand the teachings of Krishna and strictly follow them, you are perfectly situated in transcendental knowledge far, far beyond the foolish, sentimental, idiotic realm of fanaticism.Sankarshan Das Adhikari
