Question: What is the Form of the Soul?

In a lecture Prabhupada was saying that just as his coat and shirt have got arms because his body has two arm, his body also has two arms because his soul or spiritual body also has two arms. So what is the form of the soul? Does the soul of a dog have a form with four legs like the form of a dog, and the soul of tree have the form of a tree, etc? There are 8,400,000 species so what is the real shape or form of the soul. Are there 8,400,000 different types of souls corresponding to the 8,400,000 different types of material forms?

Please enlighten me
Your servant,

Sankalp

Answer: Every Soul Has a Human Form

Just as Krishna has a form with two hands, two legs, etc. all souls being part and parcel of Him also have forms with two hands and two legs. Even the devotees in the spiritual world who are in non-human forms such as cows, peacocks, and trees are also have human forms and human consciousness. They simply assume other types of forms for the purpose of serving Krishna in a particular way He likes for them to serve Him. For example, Yamuna devi, who in her original form is a human, assumes the form of a river to serve Krishna in a particular way to satisfy His desire to reciprocate her in the form of a river. In this way everyone in the spiritual world is a human with human consciousness, but assumes different forms to reciprocate with Krishna in the way that Krishna wants to have loving exchanges with them.
