Sometimes uninformed neophyte devotees object when we speak of the mission that Srila Prabhupada gave us to make the whole world Krishna consciousness. When I was a child at this time of year everywhere you would hear people saying "Merry Christmas." Groups of people singing Christmas carols used to go house to house in the evenings just before Christmas. Nowadays at this time of year you don't hear the word "Christmas" much any more because it is considered to be politically incorrect. In the Bhagavad-gita (12.7) Lord Sri Krishna states, "I am the swift deliverer from the ocean of birth and death." And in the Srimad Bhagavatam (5.5.18) it is stated that one should not become a guru unless he can deliver his disciples from birth and death.
