This material world is a very stressful place with misery and danger at every step. To be here is like being a man wandering in the desert desperately searching for water so that he will not die of thirst. But if by good fortune one can somehow or other get the association of a devotee of the Lord, his troubles are over because the association of such a great soul is first class stress relief just like an oasis in the desert.

Just a quick e-mail to you to say thanks for the past few daily messages. For what ever reason they really hit home, which is good, and they did start me thinking again more clearly. I have started chanting again, not the full sixteen rounds, but it's just nice to hear the mantra which does make me happy.

It gives me great joy to learn that you are being inspired by our humble attempt to glorify Krishna and serve our spiritual master’s order to spread Krishna consciousness all over the world.

It is indeed great news that you have revived your chanting. There is nothing sweeter than Krishna’s names in all the three worlds. This is a fact. Keep chanting whatever number of rounds you can accomplish every day and gradually you will come to point of being able to complete at least 16 rounds daily, the number of rounds required for being initiated. In this way you will become fully qualified for going back to home, back to Godhead in this lifetime.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
