Historic GBC, Guru, Sannyasi Meetings

I have been blessed with by the opportunity to spend five days in an event, which have never been held before in the in the history of ISKCON. A special meeting was called in Mayapur, West Bengal, India for all of ISKCON's gurus, GBC's, and sannyasis to engage in strategic planning to set the proper direction for an ISKCON, which going forward will become recognized as the leading educational institution in the world. Five hours a day for five days we were intensely absorbed in discussing how to make our spiritual society a fit vehicle for guiding the entire world society how to become peaceful, happy, and prosperous. Mechanisms were set in place and/or refined for the practical implementation of our strategic plans. Such meetings will again be held in the future. I was very honored to be a part of this historic event for the ultimate spiritual benefit of the entire human civilization and look forward to attending and making my humble contribution to such important gatherings of ISKCON's leaders in the future.

Is it possible to attain Krishna only by hearing. if so, how we can be sure in that, if we have not taken initiation from a bona fide spiritual master.

One who is serious to become perfect through the art of hearing about Krishna will naturally take initiation from the bona fide spiritual master because this is the injunction of the revealed scriptures that one must accept a bona fide spiritual master in order to become spiritually perfect in Krishna consciousness.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
