It's Time to Take Over the World for Krishna

The present day leaders in all spheres of activity: political, educational, cultural, etc. are all failing badly in their duty to be ideal God conscious examples for those who follow them. In spite of our repeatedly requesting these world leaders to embrace the God-centered conception of life, they have not heeded our pleas. Therefore its time now for a new class of God conscious or Krishna conscious persons to emerge and replace these incompetent leaders. Since these are the days of democracy we are therefore calling on the voters all over the world to no longer vote on the basis of party affiliation. We are requesting the voters throughout the world to only vote for those who are pure in God consciousness or Krishna consciousness. If the voters will comply with our request, we will experience a global dawning of peace and prosperity the like of which has not been experienced on this planet for the last 5,000 years.

Question: How to Prolong One's Span of Life?

I am receiving the messages daily since last week. I am happy to go through them because they are so helpful and informative. I request clarification for Srila Prabhupada's statement in his purport to Bhagavad-gita chapter 7 verse 9 as follows, "The duration of man's life is also due to Krishna. Therefore by the grace of Krishna, man can prolong his life or diminish it." Can you please explain how one can prolong or diminish his lifespan?

Answer: Surrender to Krishna

When one surrenders to Krishna his lifespan is no longer decided by the stringent, unalterable law of karma. His lifespan is now totally under the control of Krishna, who can then prolong or diminish His devotee's lifespan in reciprocation with the loving mood of his devotee. This is why it is stated in the Sri Isopanisad that if one engages in devotional service he can aspire to live for hundreds of years.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
