Uprooting the Global Quagmire

There are no material solutions for the multitudinous problems that are presently plaguing the human society. Just as chopping a weed off at the surface may seem to have gotten rid of the weed but actually has not, material solutions for what is ultimately a spiritual problem will never be effective. The problems of the modern world have to be completely uprooted if there is ever going to be any lasting global peace and prosperity. The fundamental, foundational problem, the source of all the problems, is the false bodily conception of existence. As long as people continue to think that they are their bodies, they will naturally continue to maintain an exploitative, abusive relationship with their environment. It is only when people wake up and realize that they are eternal spiritual beings and that their only happiness is to render loving service to the Supreme Being that we will see the diminishment and gradual elimination of the global madness.

Question: How to Ascertain What is True Religion?

I would like to ask the following questions:

How to ascertain that a religion is true or false? Is it not highly improper to be hostile to other's religions? Is it not just and proper for all to give up partiality and in love with each other to arrive at the truth? Which is the oldest religion that has survived against onslaught of time?

Answer: It Makes One Saintly and Godly

Genuine religion distinguishes reality from illusion for the welfare of all and thus relieves everyone from their miseries. It teaches us how to live a saintly life and to fully surrender ourselves unto the Supreme Lord. A truly religious person is not to hostile to any genuine religious system. And at the same time he is very critical of those who cheat in the name of God by engaging in sinful activities under the masquerade of religion. It is necessary for him to point out this cheating in order to establish genuine religion in the world. Demons and those manipulated by demons now engage in extremely sinful activities and call it religion. For example, the terrorists who killed thousands in the World Trade Center attack on September 11, 2001 considered that their heinous mass murder was a religious act. When a saintly person points out someone's cheating or illusioned mentality this is an act of love to establish truth in the world. It is not an act of partiality or hostility.

The system of religion described in the Vedas is the oldest religious system in the world going all the way back to the beginning of the universe 155 trillion years ago when Krishna revealed this knowledge to Lord Brahma.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead.
