World in Desperate Need

The world is in desperate need of Krishna consciousness. Lacking transcendental knowledge almost the entire human society is totally engrossed in material sense gratification. Thus most people will descend to the animal kingdom in their next birth. Those who are thoughtful and compassionate cannot tolerate such a pitiable situation. Therefore they fully dedicate their lives to trying to awaken the sleeping human civilization.

Question: Who Understands God Better?

I have been practicing Krishna consciousness for a few months, and I wanted to ask you a question about seeing Krishna:

One of the most beautiful experiences for me is feeling God's presence in everything, but I have been told that when you advance in your spiritual journey you can literally see Krishna face to face. Does Krishna appear in the same form to everyone?

Does a Hare Krishna have a better understanding than a Christian or a Muslim?

Answer: Those Who Are the Most Surrendered

Krishna reveals himself to His devotees according to their degree of surrender. Therefore a person who is more surrendered will perceive Krishna more completely from someone who is less surrendered.

One does not attain spiritual understanding by identifying with a label. One's spiritual understanding is awakened to the degree of how much he has fully surrendered himself to the will of God as confirmed in the revealed scriptures and by the spiritual master. It has nothing to do with his external designation.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
