Connecting with Krishna

The fact is that we are eternally connected with Krishna. It is impossible for us to become disconnected from Him. It is by His energy that we exist spiritually, and it is also by His energy that our material bodies are alive and functioning properly. We cannot exist even for a minute spiritually or materially without His mercy.

So since we are already fully connected with Him 24 hours a day why then do we sometimes speak of having to connect with Him? The reason is that even though we are integrally connected with Him at every second we do not realize it. We have foolishly forgotten about Him Who is the very foundation of our existence. It is this forgetfulness of Krishna that gives us the sensation of being disconnected from Him. And in a real, practical sense this forgetfulness does make us disconnected because it prevents us from having a personal loving relationship with Him and casts us into an ocean of grief.

The bhakti yoga system is a gift from the Supreme Lord Himself. It is the precise science of how to reawaken our long lost loving connection with Him. If we will diligently practice it, we can quickly and easily revive and become fully reinstated in our eternal relationship in any one of five primary rasas with that amazingly beautiful Supreme Person Who is the source of all existence.

Answer: Our Futile Attempt to Enjoy

The soul is unborn because he is eternally existing as confirmed in the Srimad Bhagavad-gita. But when he desires to taste material enjoyment he takes birth in a temporary material body to try to become happy by fulfilling his material desires. Of course, he never becomes satisfied in this way. If he is fortunate, he comes into contact with a bona fide spiritual master who mercifully guides him how to regain his original eternal position in the spiritual sky and thus never take birth again.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
