The Unlimited Treasure Within

Buried deep within your heart is everything that you've been looking for since time immemorial through millions and millions of births. You don't have to go anywhere. You've already got everything you need for an eternal, blissful, fully cognizant existence. Simply you must learn how to awaken your actual self by reconnecting with the Supreme Self.

Lord Sri Krishna very nicely describes in the Bhagavad-gita:

yo 'ntah-sukho 'ntar-aramas
tathantar-jyotir eva yah
sa yogi brahma-nirvanam
brahma-bhuto 'dhigacchati

"One whose happiness is within, who is active and rejoices within, and whose aim is inward is actually the perfect mystic. He is liberated in the Supreme, and ultimately he attains the Supreme."
---Bhagavad-gita 5.24

By carefully applying the bhakti-yoga system you can internalize or spiritualize your every thought, word, and deed. If you will fully thus absorb yourself on the transcendental plane, even while engaged in normal every day activities such as school or work, your spiritual perfection of going back home, back to Godhead is assured.

Is Krishna Consciousness a practice in austerity or joy and happiness?

Answer: It's Both...

The answer is that it is both. Krishna consciousness is simultaneously austere and supremely joyful. It is described in the Srimad Bhagavatam that austerity is the wealth of those who are renounced from this world.

Just as a businessman becomes more and more enlivened the more that he accumulates wealth, similarly the Krishna conscious person relishes the austerities of practicing Krishna consciousness as the sweetest, most sublime nectar.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
