If You Want Actual Relief
The perfection of consciousness is to see everything in relationship with the Supreme Lord. Such a vision is not artificial because everything, being the Lord's emanated energy, is naturally related with Him. In this regard Srila Prabhupada explains in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam 10.13.53 as follows:
"...everything is part and parcel of Krishna and is acting and moving by the supreme desire of Krishna. This understanding, this consciousness, is Krishna consciousness."
What a wonderful vision this is! This means that nothing is happening by chance. Everything is happening under the divine direction of the all merciful Supreme Personality of Godhead. Therefore if we constantly take shelter of Him, we have nothing to fear under any circumstances. This same point is made in the Bible:
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for Thou art with me."
As soon as start to see everything in relationship with the Supreme Lord we become naturally blissful and full of love for all beings:
yas tu sarvani bhutany
atmany evanupasyati
sarva-bhutesu catmanam
tato na vijugupsate
"He who sees systematically everything in relation to the Supreme Lord, who sees all living entities as His parts and parcels, and who sees the Supreme Lord within everything never hates anything or any being."
--Sri Isopanisad Mantra 6
To perfect this self-realization science is the perfection of our existence. While technological advancement can make things more convenient for us in this world, it will never put a stop to the repetition of birth, death, old age, and disease. If you want relief from these four miserable conditions of material existence, you must wholeheartedly dedicate yourself to the self-realization process.
In my current state, my consciousness is not yet 100% devotional. It is surviving due to the fact you have emphasized that with spiritual gain follows material gain.
While chanting my mind is running through the house, to the chores and other things. Is this any good?
Secondly, how can I know what Lord Krishna wants from me?

We know what Krishna wants us to do by consulting with the spiritual master. Just like if you go to work for a company, how do you know what the owner of the company expects of you in your job? You are trained by your immediate supervisor how to do everything in such a way that the owner is pleased. In the same way, we have learn how to please Krishna by all of our thoughts, words, and deeds through the training that we receive from the spiritual master, the sastras (scriptures), and the Lord's devotees.

Answer: From the Spiritual Master, Scriptures, and Saintly Devotees...
I always recommend that my students complete at least 16 rounds of japa mala before sunrise because during this sattvic period of day the mind is far less likely to become distracted by thoughts of the day's activities. We know what Krishna wants us to do by consulting with the spiritual master.
