The Brilliant Krishna Sun

Since there are no facilities available for our staying at our Vilnius temple, we are staying just outside of Vilnius at the home of Ashvini Kumar Das and his wife, Yamuna devi dasi. We are situated in the middle of a beautiful forest area and are commuting twice daily to the temple in central Vilnius so I can give the morning evening classes.

It is very easy to remember Krishna when seeing the natural beauty. The wonderful sunrise this morning immediately reminded me of the beautiful, wonderful dawning of Krishna consciousness that gradually arises in the heart of the devotee who carefully and steadily chants the holy names of the Lord under the guidance of the bona fide spiritual master.

Even though we find the morning sunrise to be very beautiful, it is nothing compare to the arising of Krishna consciousness within the heart. Krishna consciousness is the one switch that when flipped on immediately turns on the entire world.

So what is the world waiting for? Everyone is invited to experience the ultimate dawn at every minute by chanting the Hare Krishna mantra with love and devotion:

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare

Question: Who Is the Greatest God?...

I have two questions.

1. Who is the greatest God that there is no one greater than He? Is it Ishvara or Krishna or someone else?

2. Which practices should be done to get spiritual freshness and comfort?

Answer: The Greatest Possessor of Opulences...

Ishvara means controller and there are many controllers, small and big. Of all the controllers the supreme controller is Krishna. Therefore He is known as Parameshvara (the Supreme Ishvara.) In so far as any other candidates for the position of God is concerned, the great sage Parasara Muni has given the job description. He has clearly given the definition of God. The Supreme Person must possess such a great quantity of power, beauty, renunciation, knowledge, wealth, and fame that no one can equal or excel him. This supreme possessor of all opulences is God. By comparative analysis of all great personalities it can easily be seen that no one but Lord Krishna possesses sufficient opulences to qualify for the position of God.

The simple practice for attaining spiritual peace is to regularly chant the holy names of God:

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare

Kindly take up this process of chanting and you will personally experience how Krishna is God.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
