The Appearance Day of Lord Nrsimhadeva
Just as Lord Nrsimhadeva protected His devotee Prahlada from the wrath of his demoniac father Hiraṇyakaśipu, He also protects from danger His devotees who take shelter of Him. We especially remember Him and praise Him today, the day of His appearance with the following prayer:
tava kara-kamala-vare nakham adbhuta-śṛṅgaṁ
dalita-hiraṇyakaśipu-tanu-bhṛṅgam
keśava dhṛta-narahari-rūpa jaya jagadīśa hare
"O Keśava! O Lord of the universe! O Lord Hari who have assumed the form of half-man, half-lion! All glories to You! Just as one can easily crush a wasp between one's fingernails, so in the same way the body of the wasplike demon Hiraṇyakaśipu has been ripped apart by the wonderful pointed nails on Your beautiful lotus hands."
Many years ago in 1972 or 1973 when there was an armed robbery at our ISKCON temple in Miami, Florida USA I loudly called out the name "Nrsimhadeva" and very soon the armed bandits were running scared into the dark night. So I know from first hand experience how Lord Nrsimhadeva protects those who take shelter of Him.

What people don't understand is that the womb deteriorates due to misuse of the genitals for sense gratification, a sort of corruption of a pure place for the development of a souls's body for the service of Krishna. And they don't understand that all the jivas trapped inside the condom get no chance to get a body and so it is also a form of murder.
Based on your instructions I had done a bit of research and written one article about how contraception and abortion have actually decreased the life expectancy in the modern world. I just got back from an ecstatic preaching trip to Ottawa, the temple president Krishna Dulal Prabhu had invited me and I distributed books along the way, in Ottawa, and on the way back together with deity worship and training the devotees for Sankirtan... I gave a total of 3 classes there. This is all simply a manifestation of your mercy that such a useless fellow like me is getting service in Mahaprabhu's mission, in Srila Prabhupada's mission. I remain your grateful servant.
Family is also back from Durban yesterday so now I'm back to Grihastha Brahmachari life, from one month of simple Brahmachari life.
