Let Us Embrace this Most Potent Instruction
It is very wonderfully stated in Srimad Bhagavatam, Tenth Canto, Chapter 14, Text 8 as follows:
tat te 'nukampāṁ su-samīkṣamāṇo
bhuñjāna evātma-kṛtaṁ vipākam
hṛd-vāg-vapurbhir vidadhan namas te
jīveta yo mukti-pade sa dāya-bhāk
"My dear Lord, one who earnestly waits for You to bestow Your causeless mercy upon him, all the while patiently suffering the reactions of his past misdeeds and offering You respectful obeisances with his heart, words and body, is surely eligible for liberation, for it has become his rightful claim."
Therefore let us fully embrace this instruction and reap the unlimited benefits that it bestows upon us!

All glories to you and to Srila Prabhupada.
This is a curious but sensitive question. Can it be said that the murdered schoolchildren in Uvalde deserved what happened to them due to past misdeeds in their previous lives?
Thank you.
Luis
My Dear Luis,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
According to the law of karma everyone gets exactly what they deserve according to their past pious and impious activities. But if one surrenders to Krishna he becomes free from his karmic reactions. This is why we want everyone to surrender to Krishna, so that they will not have to suffer so many karmic reactions.
I hope this meets you in the best of health.
