Torture or Reward Ourselves

Our actual position is that we are eternal, full of knowledge, and full of bliss. So why should we torture ourselves by misidentification with our temporary material bodies? Such misidentification unfortunately chokes off our ability to engage in actual loving relationships, and thus without tasting true love we will not be able to find genuine satisfaction. Thus we will remain in a frustrated state not being able to taste real happiness. Because to taste constant happiness is our real constitutional nature when such real happiness is not tasted we will imagine ourselves to be happy even when factually we are in the most miserable, abominable situations. This is called illusory happiness and it brings us no satisfaction at all. The solution for this madness is to come to Krishna consciousness by perfectly dovetailing all of our thoughts, words, and deeds with the pleasure of the Supreme Person. In such a perfect stage of consciousness we will taste unlimited, ever-increasing bliss at every minute. So it is now our choice whether we want to torture ourselves or reware ourselves.

Answer: From the Beginning of Our Universe

My Dear Adrienne,
Please accept my blessings.
The Vedic knowledge was first transmitted into the heart of Brahma, the predominating demigod of our universe, by Lord Krishna 155 trillion years ago at the beginning of our universe. Then Lord Krishna personally appeared on this planet to transmit the same Vedic knowledge 5,000 years ago. Many realized spiritual masters also transmitted it after that. It was again purely transmitted 500 years ago by Lord Krishna appearing in the form of His own devotee, Lord Caitanya, and after that by the many spiritual masters who are the pure devotees of Krishna and Lord Caitanya. And 50 years ago it was transmitted by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, and right now it is being transmitted all over the world by those who are strictly following Prabhupada. And as a follower of Lord Brahma, Lord Krishna, Lord Caitanya, and Prabhupada I am also purely transmitting the Vedic knowledge in my e-course. Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
