True Independence

Today, the fourth of July, is a big national holiday in the USA in celebration of the original 13 American colonies adopting the Declaration of Independence on 4 July 1776 separating themselves from membership in the British Empire. But this is not real independence. Real independence means to become free from birth, death, old age, and disease by fully surrendering oneself unto Lord Sri Krishna under the direction of the bona fide spiritual master. We therefore pray for that day when all the people of the world can celebrate their true independence after fully surrendering themselves unto Lord Sri Krishna. Then they can truly celebrate their independency by having a humongous, super ecstatic Hare Krishna kirtan.

Please accept my humble obeisances,

I want to ask for your help. I have very big problem. For many years before coming to Krishna Consciousness I was totally addicted to pornography. But after I joined the temple I gave it up. Up until my initiation I was strictly following my vows and thus totally avoiding porn. But seven months ago I fell down, and again I have come back to this disgusting habit. It's really a big problem now, and I don't how to stop it. I do not want to fall back to my previous sinful life, but I just do not any strength to kill this nasty habit. Please kindly help me to somehow solve this problem. Giving this up is the most important in my life, but I don't know how to become free from this.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
