Do You Believe in God?
If someone asks you, "Do you believe in God?", you can answer them as follows:
I do not believe in God. I know God. He's my best friend. His name is Krishna because He is all-attractive. He is all-attractive because He possesses unlimited power, unlimited beauty, unlimited renunciation, unlimited knowledge, unlimited wealth, and unlimited fame. He is the source of all existence because everything is emanating from Him. By serving Him with love you become qualified to see Him directly face-to-face, eye-to-eye both here in this temporary material world as well as in His transcendental abode, the spiritual sky.
Please, accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada.
Even being in such a painful situation you do not stop leading, educating and advising your disciples and all your followers on the Internet out of this material and bodily conditioning that have caused and is still causing us so much pain and distress of different kinds.
Gurudeva, among all the people I have met in this life you are my #1 hero and role model.
That is a real honor to have your association I am not worth at all.
Your compassion is so sincere that even a stone heart like mine is melting in your presence.
Your blissful smile is so attractive that seeing it my mind gets fully enchanted.
When you speak my sleeping consciousness shows some signs of awakening and when you sing in ecstasy I forget my illusion of thinking "I am this body".
Therefore the feeling that comes from knowing that you are your physically suffering and I am totally helpless to help you is something I do not know how to deal with.
Therefore I ask you: please, tell me, what is the right mood of a disciple facing such a situation? What are his words and what are his actions?
With tears in my eyes I am praying Krishna to remove your pain and do the best He can to help you in Prabhupada's mission.
Your disciple,
Guru das
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Thank you very much for your kind words of devotion. They have brought great relief to me. Strictly follow your initiation vows and work co-operatively as a member of ISKCON for serving our mission of respiritualizing the entire world.
When Srila Prabhupada was extremely ill he told us that we could to pray for his recovery with the following prayer as part of our daily routine. "My dear Lord Krishna, if You desire, please cure Srila Prabhupada." So my disciples and students can also pray in this way for me now, "My dear Lord Krishna, if you so desire, please cure our spiritual master."
I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.
Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
