Living For the Deliverance of All

Our Krishna consciousness movement is dedicated to the deliverance of living beings who are currently suffering in the cycle of repeated birth and death. There is no cause which is nobler or greater than this. This world deliverance mission is our family business. Therefore all the members of the Krishna consciousness movement should tightly embrace this goal within their heart of hearts and thus always think, speak, and act in all times, places, and circumstances in a way which is favorable for bringing about the deliverance of all those who are suffering in karma cakra.

Question: Afraid of Non-Existence

Dear Respected Gurudeva,

Please accept my respectful obeisances. I wish that your lotus feet may always be in my mind. All glories to our beloved Srila Prabhupada.

In my bewildered mind once appeared a horrible demoniac thought. What would be if nothing would be here. Complete darkness and void space. I was very scared of this thought and again wished that Lord Sri Krishna save me from this deadly demon of darkness.

My question is: Is there a place in the whole existence where nothing exists. I understand that we all exist and Krishna and his holy Name exists eternally. But what about nonexistence. Maybe its just a state of mind in somebody's illusioned diseased consciousness.

Answer: Non-Existence is Non-Existent

If nothing were here, you wouldn’t have to worry because you wouldn’t be here either. But rest assured that the "nothing exists" philosophy is not true. Nonexistence exists as a concept only, even though faulty. So even the concept of non-existence defeats itself by existing. The factual reality is that existence does exist. The proof is that you can ponder it. Self-realization means to attain the perfection of existence. Our philosophy is substance.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
