Equipoised in All Situations

In the Bhagavad-gita Lord Sri Krishna teaches us how to be equipoised in all situations. Some examples of this are pain and pleasure, happiness and distress, honor and dishonor, and also praise and blame. A highly advanced transcendentalist sees each side of these pairs of opposites with an equal eye. So how can we neophyte devotees also perceive them in this way. The easy way to do this is to see everything in a positive way as the special mercy of Krishna to help us awaken pure love of God within our hearts as soon as possible. For example, if one finds himself in a very painful diseased situation, he can appreciate that here is a situation in which he can strongly affirm his spiritual identity totally beyond his suffering body.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
