Teaching the Science of Bhakti in Romania

We have now arrived in Timisoara, Romania where I will be teaching the science of bhakti for several days before we move on to Delhi, India where I will be doing the same. We have to take over the world for Krishna as soon as possible because the demoniac forces are now becoming powerful more than ever on this planet. Only the Krishna consciousness movement has the potency to save the human civilization from a total collapse into anarchy. Everyone is starving for Krishna consciousness. We simply have the snap them out of the spell of Maya in which they have been entrapped for millions of lifetimes. Sweet kirtan, potent philosophy, delicious prasadam, and tons of loving kindness will do the job of saving them.

Question: What Happens When a Person is in a Coma?

Dear Srila Gurudeva,
Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

What does it mean when a person gets into a coma and is about to die? I don't know where I read it or heard it, but it seems that such a person is about to enter the animal kingdom and his coma state is his unwillingness to enter into an animal body.

Kindly clarify and please explain on the coma stage.

Thanking you.

I beg to remain your humble servant.

Answer: He'd Scared to Death of His Next Birth

What you have heard or read is correct. Srila Prabhupada explains as follows in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam 4.29-76-77:

"One who acts like a dog or hog in the present body will certainly be forced to accept the body of a dog or hog in the next life. A person may be enjoying the body of a prime minister or a president, but when he understands that he will be forced to accept the body of a dog or hog, he chooses not to leave the present body. Therefore he lies in a coma many days before death. This has been experienced by many politicians at the time of death."

Therefore we should not act like dogs and hogs, living only for sense gratification. We should focus of our lives on attaining pure love for God. In this way we will not linger in a coma in our present material body due to fear of our next birth. Rather we will joyfully leave behind our present lump of blood and flesh eagerly our regaining Krishna's eternal association in His transcendental, full luminous spiritual abode.
