You Have Attained the Greatest Good Fortune

You have attained this extremely rare human form of life after going through many millions of births in the lower species, such as plants, fish, birds, beasts, etc. This human form of life offers the unique opportunity of going back to home, back to Godhead. Therefore to have this human form is the greatest good fortune. If one does not utilize this human form of life for spiritual awakening, this is the greatest tragedy, the greatest disaster. Take advantage of your good fortune. Don't spoil it.

Question: How Lord Caitanya is an Avatar?

I am trying to know the righteous path to life from what I am learning in ISKCON. I have many queries regarding what I am perceiving by going to the temple. Here's my sincere query:

In the list of ten avatars given by Jayadeva Goswami there is Buddha, who appeared 2600 years ago, with the next avatar being Kalki, who will appear 427,000 years from now. So how can Lord Caitanya, who appeared 500 years ago, be considered an avatar when He is not mentioned in the list?

Lord Caitanya is a covered, incognito incarnation. Although Lord Caitanya, according to the Vedic literature, is also a sastrically confirmed incarnation of God, because He comes disguised as a devotee, He is not mentioned in the list of ten avatars given by Jayadeva Goswami.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
