Conquer Disturbed Mind by Connecting with Krishna
Sometimes in this up-and-down material world things don't go well and our minds become very disturbed. This is a golden opportunity to take shelter of Krishna, remembering His transcendental teachings, name, form, qualities, entourage, and paraphernalia. By doing so, the disturbance of the mind will fade away, and we will be situated once again in transcendental bliss. In other words, when our minds are disturbed this is not our natural consciousness. All we have to do to come back to our original, natural, blissful state of mind is reconnect with Krishna.

All glories to you! All glories to your liberating association!
In Bhagavad-gita 2.47 purport Srila Prabhupada writes "Any attachment, positive or negative, is cause for bondage." I am really not able to understand this. What is positive? And what is negative? Won't it depend on our point of view? Somebody may say that a devotee's attachment to chanting 16 rounds daily to go back to Krishna is a positive attachment and thus it should also be a cause for bondage. But we know it is cause for liberation. So isn't it contradictory?
I beg you to kindly help me understand this verse. Due to my poor intelligence I am not able to assimilate what it wants to convey even after reading the purport.

In this context, being attached to doing something that should not be done such as drinking liquor is a positive attachment. And being attached to not doing something that should be done such as chanting the holy names is a negative attachment.
What should be done and what should not be done is according to the instructions of Krishna, not according to mental whim or personal opinion.
In one case one is attached to doing something. This is positive attachment. In the other case he is attached to not doing something. This is negative attachment. As long as one is attached in this way on the material platform he must remain in bondage. But when one transfers his attachment to Krishna he becomes liberated.

Answer: Attachment to Doing or Not Doing
There is no contraction. Simply one has to properly understand what is positive attachment and negative attachment.
