Are Hard Work and Money Everything?

One of our subscribers recently canceled his subscription citing the following reasons:

"Everything is hard work. Nothing is achieved without it. All are after money."

He's wrong that all are after money, that nothing can be achieved without it, and that hard work is everything. Those who become Krishna conscious achieve something far, far beyond even the wealthiest and most powerful people of this world. They don't have to work like asses to achieve it either. All they have to do is lovingly absorb themselves in remembering the Lord and offering Him the fruits of their activities. If one wants to know the real meaning of everything, he should see that everything is the energy of Krishna and should therefore be engaged in Krishna's service.

Question: Should We Read the Entire Bhagavatam?

All glories to Lord Krishna. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and you, dear Gurudeva.

I am confused that one website gives Srila Prabhupada's Srimad Bhagavatam online only up to the Tenth Canto, Chapter 13 and another website (www.Vedabase.com) gives the entire Srimad Bhagavatam. Should we read the Srimad Bhagavatam only up to the Tenth Canto, Chapter 13? Or should we read the entire Srimad Bhagavatam?

Please clear my confusion.

Answer: Prabhupada Wants Us to Read It Entirely.

Srila Prabhupada did not complete the Srimad Bhagavatam before he departed from this world. Because he could only complete up to the 10th Canto, Chapter 13 he instructed his disciples that they should complete it so that everyone could read all 12 Cantos of the Srimad Bhagavatam. While there certainly is a difference between reading Prabhupada's purports and the purports of his disciples, this does not mean that we should not read the rest of the Srimad Bhagavatam. Because Prabhupada wants us to read the entire Srimad Bhagavatam, even the portion translated and purported by his disciples, we should relish the entire Srimad Bhagavatam from start to finish.
