The More You Are Serious, the More You Taste Bliss

Sometimes in material life it is thought that the more you are serious, the less you are happy. But in spiritual life it is just the opposite. The more you are serious about becoming solidly fixed up in Krishna consciousness, the more bliss you will taste. Therefore it behooves one to be as serious as possible about awakening his dormant Krishna consciousness. This is accomplished by focused Hare Krishna mantra meditation, regularly reading Srila Prabhupada's books, and by learning from and serving those devotees who are absolutely serious about Krishna consciousness.

Question: Desire to Be Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise?

Dear Srila Gurudeva,

Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Is it good to desire to be healthy, wealthy and wise?

Your servant,

Sarvabhauma das

Answer: Good to Desire Them in this Way

It is very good to desire health, wealth, and wisdom if one utilizes them in the service of the Supreme Lord. One should keep his body fit so that he can nicely serve the Lord. He should have sufficient wealth so that he maintain himself and his family without incurring debt and also give financial support to the respiritualization of the human society. And he must be wise enough to know the difference between the individual self and the Supreme Self so he can fully surrender himself unto the Supreme Self, Lord Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
