Thank God for Srila Prabhupada!
If it wasn't for Srila Prabhupada where would we be? We'd be hopelessly lost in the cycle of birth and death. Therefore the extent of our indebtedness to him is inconceivable. And because of Srila Prabhupada's unlimited mercy upon us we are now escaping the vicious cycle of birth and death and regaining our original spiritual identities in the transcendental pastimes of the Lord in His eternal transcendental kingdom. What could be wonderful than this? Therefore what can we say? Thank God for Srila Prabhupada!

Dear Gurudeva,
Today a girl was murdered in a very gruesome way. Is death of a person predestined to be a certain way? Why do some people die under such terrible circumstances?
Your servant,
Atrisha
Since we do not know what kind of sins we committed in previous lifetimes, the safest thing to do is to surrender to Krishna and thus automatically become free from the karmic reactions of our past sins, even if we gruesomely murdered someone.

Answer: They Are Getting Their Karma
If someone is murdered in a gruesome way, they are getting their fair karmic reaction for having murdered someone else in a gruesome way in the past.Since we do not know what kind of sins we committed in previous lifetimes, the safest thing to do is to surrender to Krishna and thus automatically become free from the karmic reactions of our past sins, even if we gruesomely murdered someone.
