Your Only Enemy is Your Mind
Your only enemy is your mind, no one else and nothing else. As long as your mind is uncontrolled it will drag you through the cycle of birth, death, old age, and disease millions and billions of times ad infinitum. But if you will intelligently bring your mind under control by fixing in on the Supreme Personality of Godhead by regularly chanting His names, it will become your best friend and you will transcend this entire material existence regaining your original identity as a transcendental associate of the Supreme Personality of Godhead in His marvelous, divine, eternal pastimes in the wondrous spiritual sky.

Gurudeva, please accept my humble respect.
Why are beads necessary for chanting the Holy Name? If we chant His Holy Name without the beads, will it be less effective? Will it also be good if we continuously chant in our mind at any place and at any time?
With kind regards

Answer: Neophytes Require Regulated Chanting
Only a highly advanced self-realized devotee can continuously chant the holy names of God within his mind in all times and places. To reach that stage disciplined, regulated chanting is required. Therefore the great acharyas have instructed us to regularly chant the Lord's holy names on japa beads. If we want to awaken the dormant love of God within our hearts, we must follow the pathway chalked out by the great acharyas. In this regard Lord Caitanya has taught us:mahājano yena gataḥ sa panthāḥ
"One must follow the pathway chalked out by the great acharyas."
