Following in the Footsteps of the Great Acharyas
There is a way out of the dense, deep forest of delusion, in which we are presently so hopelessly lost. That way is to follow the pathway of the great acharyas, the great saintly teachers who give the highest knowledge and set the perfect examples. There is an unbroken succession of such acharyas beginning with Lord Krishna Himself coming down to the present day. If we take advantage of the trail that they have so mercifully blazed, we will easily find our way out of this forest of delusion and enter into the most sublime realm of eternity, knowledge, and bliss.

In fact Srila Prabhupada stated on 8 November 1977 just days before his departure that he had NOT been poisoned. So who are we believe: Srila Prabhupada or the envious persons who are trying to poison the ISKCON society created by Srila Prabhupada? I am going to stick with Srila Prabhupada. Others who get excited by conspiracy theories may choose to not accept Srila Prabhupada's statement. That is their free choice.

Question: Was Srila Prabhupada Poisoned?
I note that in the 25 February 2012 "Thought for the Day" you were asked what happened to Srila Prabhupada, and you replied that he died of natural causes at the age of 81. But, is it not the fact that he was actually poisoned by jealous disciples who fed him a poisoned glass of milk?Jenny
Answer: Srila Prabhupada Said He Was Not Poisoned
Srila Prabhupada was not poisoned. The "Prabhupada was poisoned" theory is a poison concocted by an envious former ISKCON member who wanted to discredit the leaders of ISKCON. If you had been witnessing the day by day history of Prabhupada's final days as they were unfolding in 1977, you would understand how ridiculous this theory is. The devotees were doing everything they could to save Srila Prabhupada's life. There is no question that anybody was trying to poison Srila Prabhupada. The person who started the false rumor was not even in Vrindavan to witness Srila Prabhupada's final pastimes.
