Realize Your Full Human Potential

If you want to realize your full human potential, the first step is that you have to understand that you are not your body. If you continue to misidentify yourself with your material body thinking that it is you, you are doing nothing but holding up your progress. Therefore the first step for you to make in realizing your full potential is to solidly assert your eternal spiritual identity as a servant of God. And if you will then base all of your life's decisions on this platform of understanding, you will be able to actualize your full potential as a powerful, effective human being.

Question: How to Not Take Birth as a Demigod?

It is said that if one is successful in his devotional life he will go back to Godhead and that if he is not able to fully perfect his spiritual life he will either take birth again and continue his devotion from there onwards or he might get birth into a demigod's body to fulfill his material desires. So how should I practice devotion so that, if not completed in this birth, I will be sure to get birth in human form to continue with my devotional practice, so that I will not become a demigod and diverted from the path of bhakti?

Answer: Always Keep Bhakti As Your Only Goal

If you will seriously dedicate this life in Krishna's service, you will either go back to Godhead at the end of this lifetime, or if you still have material desires, you will get another material body to fulfill those desires and continue with your practice of Krishna consciousness. The key is to have only one goal in your life, to become a pure devotee of Lord Krishna. If you will keep this goal always in the forefront of your consciousness, you will either go back to Godhead or take birth as a devotee to continue your spiritual progress.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
