By fully absorbing your life in devotional service under the guidance of the bona fide spiritual master you have already regained your eternal identity in the spiritual world. Of course, it will take time to become fully awakened and matured in your identity. But as soon as you begin to conduct your life's activities under the guidance of the bona fide spiritual master you have already regained your real identity as Krishna's eternal servant. You have already regained your constitutional position of eternity, knowledge, and bliss.

Question: Krishna Consciousness Without Knowledge of My Last Life?

If one is not able to see his past life and relate to the consequences of karma in the past or the current life, how would someone be inclined to become God fearing or Krishna conscious?

I don’t know what I did in my past life except believe that if things are good now that it was due to my pious actions in the last life. Neither do I know what is going to happen in my next life. Please enlighten.

Answer: Sufficient to See How Bad this Life Is

An intelligent person does not require any information regarding his past lives in order to gain impetus for the self-realization process. He can clearly see that this material world is a place of suffering where everyone is dragged by the laws of nature through birth, death, old age, and disease, and that a life of such suffering is not acceptable to a being who always desires happiness. He understands that life just could not be this bad, and thus searches to find that life which is fully in harmony with his own inner desire for unlimited bliss. When he opens his heart fully to the reality beyond illusion, he discovers the Supreme All-Loving, All-Wonderful Person, Lord Sri Krishna, and he becomes fully enlightened and ecstatic.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
