Srila Prabhupada states that if a devotee becomes completely pure in his chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra, free from the ten offenses against the holy names, he becomes jagad-guru, the spiritual master of the entire universe and that under his influence the entire world will take up the wonderful enlightening process of Krishna consciousness. This means that you have a potential global spiritual revolution right there in your bead bag. All you have to do is become perfect in your chanting of the Hare Krishna mahamantra. By doing so you can save the entire world from its present darkness and misery.

Question: Why is Krishna Superior to Impersonal Brahman?

I hope I can present this question respectfully. On June 17th's post you say that it is more intelligent to know Krishna is the Parabrahman than to think that the impersonal form of the Brahman is. I don't understand why this is so, but am endeavoring to understand. Any light you can shed on this will be greatly appreciated (the more the better). Either way I and many others applaud your efforts at trying to guide life to a higher platform for all.

The source of something is naturally para, supreme, or superior to its manifestation because the manifestation is dependent on its manifesting source for its existence. In this connection Krishna is clearly described in the Bhagavad-gita as both the Parabrahman and as the source of the impersonal Brahman.

He is clearly described as the Parabrahman, the Supreme Brahman, in the Bhagavad-gita, Chapter 10, Text 12. And it is clearly stated in Bhagavad-gita, Chapter 14, Text 27 that Krishna is the basis of the impersonal Brahman. Since Krishna is the origin of the impersonal Brahman, it is not para or supreme. Since Krishna is the origin of everything, He is the Parabrahman and His impersonal Brahman manifestation is not. The impersonal Brahman is the light or effulgence emanating from the Lord's transcendental body. Krishna is the source of that light or effulgence. This can be compared to a light bulb and the powerhouse. Of the light bulb and the powerhouse which is the supreme? The light bulb is dependent on the powerhouse for its illuminating power, therefore it cannot be the supreme.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee.
