Back to the Concrete Jungles

I have now left behind paradisial Fiji to continue my lecture tour in the concrete jungles of a confused and polluted planet. There is no doubt about it. This transcendental self-realization science is absolutely essential for the future sanity and survival of the human civilization. Without it we will see a complete melt down of the present day society. Somehow this message of Krishna consciousness has to be broadcast to everyone in every part of the world.

Lord Krishna, please bless us that we can be successful in awakening the entire world to your most sublime message. Only by Your mercy is it possible that the world can be delivered.

Several people claim to be spiritual master, nay, even God! How to know who is a bona fide spiritual master (and who is a quack)? What is his/her sign?

Answer: Living Embodiment of the Scriptures

Nowadays many people claim to be gurus when in fact they are not at all qualified. Therefore it is most important that we learn to distinguish between who is a bona fide spiritual master and who is not.

According to the Vedic scriptures, for the spiritual master to be bona fide he must be coming in a bona fide disciplic succession from Lord Sri Krishna and he must behave and speak 100% in accordance with the teachings of the Bhagavad-gita and the Srimad Bhagavatam. In other words he must be a living embodiment of the scriptures and thus completely Krishna conscious.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
