Tasting Nectar on the Road for Krishna

Even though these around-the-world lecture tours can sometimes be an austerity in terms of getting proper rest and in keeping the best health, there is undoubtedly unlimited nectar that we taste on the road for Krishna. By helping people all over the globe to re-connect with their eternal Lord Sri Krishna we are feeling unlimitedly rewarded. In other words, the more we spread happiness, the more we experience happiness. And the more we feel pain in our hearts to see the sufferings of others, the more we are blessed by Krishna.

Question: Why Not Go to a Strip Club?

A work colleague is soon leaving the company and my fellow work colleagues suggested taking him to a strip club to celebrate. I explained to them that I would not attend as I'm practicing Krishna Consciousness and we don't attend such things. My fellow work mates then made the argument that I should attend and show my appreciation for God's fine work with the female form. I could not adequately give an answer as to why I still wouldn't attend despite this point.

Can you please enlighten me as to what is the best answer in this kind of situation.

Answer: Respectable Son Does Not Want to See His Mother Naked.

Simply tell them we respect all women as our mothers and no respectable son would want to see his mother dancing naked.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
