Spreading Krishna's Glories All Over the World

Although the naysayers sometimes criticize us for becoming gurus in our humble attempt to spread the Krishna consciousness movement all over the world, what can we do? This is the duty given to us by our spiritual master, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. On the morning of 17 December 1973 during a Srimad Bhagavatam class given in Los Angeles, California, USA Srila Prabhupada ordered us, "Just become perfect in the understanding of this science and become guru and deliver the whole world." So even though we do not consider ourselves to be highly qualified it is our duty to try our level best to carry out the order given to us by our beloved spiritual master. Srila Prabhupada taught us that this is the secret of success in spiritual life, that one must embrace the order given to him by his spiritual master as his very life and soul and dedicate one's life fully to trying to successfully execute that order.

Answer: Krishna Says, "Become the Devotee of My Devotee."

Here are your questions with answers:

1) Why do we need to take initiation from a spiritual master?

Krishna says that we cannot become His devotee unless we become the devotee of his devotee.

2) How should we relate with the spiritual master?

As a menial servant.

3) What services can we do for the spiritual master?

Inquire submissively and dedicate your life fully for assisting him in his mission of making the world Krishna conscious.

4) What is the position of the spiritual master?

He is God's representative and is therefore given the same respect that we would give to God if He were personally present.

5) Why do we need to surrender to the guru?

Because it is through the process of surrendering to Sri Guru and that we are successful in surrendering to Sri Krishna.

6) How to satisfy the guru?

Develop pure love for Krishna and tell everyone you meet about Krishna.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
