Unflinching Faith in Guru and Krishna

If we want to realize the imports of the great Vedic knowledge, we must make sure to obey this injunction found in Chapter 6, Verse 23 of the Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad:

yasya deve parā bhaktir
yathā deve tathā gurau
tasyaite kathitā hy arthāḥ
prakāśante mahātmanaḥ

"Only unto those great souls who have implicit faith in both the Lord and the spiritual master are all the imports of Vedic knowledge automatically revealed."

In this connection Srila Prabhupada further explains in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam, Fourth Canto, Chapter 24, Text 52 as follows:

"The Lord is the supreme spiritual master, and the bona fide representative of the Supreme Lord is also a spiritual master. The Lord from within enlightens the devotees by the effulgence of the nails of His lotus feet, and His representative, the spiritual master, enlightens from without. Only by thinking of the lotus feet of the Lord and always taking the spiritual master's advice can one advance in spiritual life and understand Vedic knowledge."

Let us all now be intelligent and do just that. When we realize the Vedic knowledge we gain perfect knowledge of everything. And when we apply the Vedic knowledge our lives become unlimitedly successful.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
