Carefully Hear this Prabhupada Lecture
On 19 July 2022 morning here in Austin, Texas USA I heard this most wonderful lecture given by Srila Prabhupada on the Srimad Bhagavatam, First Canto, Chapter 2, Text 18. And I just knew that I had to share it with you all.
naṣṭa-prāyeṣv abhadreṣu
nityaṁ bhāgavata-sevayā
bhagavaty uttama-śloke
bhaktir bhavati naiṣṭhikī
“By regularly hearing the Bhāgavatam and rendering service unto the pure devotee, all that is troublesome to the heart is practically destroyed, and loving service unto the glorious Lord, who is praised with transcendental songs, is established as an irrevocable fact.”

In the spiritual world do we have a fixed relation with Krishna or we can choose to be in any relation with Him? Like is this fixed that one particular soul will be in sakhya (friendship) rasa or in madhurya (conjugal) rasa? Or does it depend upon the soul to be in any particular rasa he likes?
Sarita Arya
P.S.- If we are to be fixed in one particular rasa, wouldn't it be force from Krishna's side and taking away the soul's free will?
My Dear Sarita,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Every devotee is free to choose which relationship (rasa) he would like to be in. But every devotee has an intrinsic eternal nature just like a fish's natural inclination is to swim in the water and a bird's inclination is to fly in the sky. So every devotee feels that his particular relationship with Krishna as a servant, a friend, a parent, or a lover is the best. Thus everybody is happy to stay in their particular rasa without changing. But since there is full freedom in the spiritual world if somebody wanted to change their rasa they could. But generally this does not happen.
I hope this meets you in the best of health.
ISKCON Founder-Acharya, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, ordered his disciples to become gurus and deliver the world. Sankarshan Das Adhikari has taken this order very seriously and is thus accepting disciples all over the world and has dedicated himself fully to the mission of making the entire world Krishna conscious as soon as possible. He requests your help in this most urgent world deliverance mission to save the suffering humanity from gliding down to the animal kingdom in their next births.
