We Want to Make the Whole World Happy

Our mission is sarve sukhino bhavantu: "Let Everyone be happy." This is Vedic civilization. We don't want to exploit somebody else and become happy. No. We want to see that everyone is happy. But they do not know how to become happy. Therefore we are trying to spread this Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement all over the world so that everyone will be happy. Kṛṣṇa reveals in the Bhagavad-gita in Chapter Nine, Text 2 that Kṛṣṇa consciousness is everlasting and is joyfully performed. Su-sukhaṁ kartum avyayam [Bhagavad-gita 9.2]. What could be better than this? There is nothing better than this.

Question: Are New Souls Being Created?

Hare Krishna Srila Gurudev,

Please accept my humble obeisances.

In the below thought for the day, Your Grace has answered - There is no such thing as new souls coming into existence.

Requesting you to please help me understand, because in a different context I seem to recall hearing that unlimited souls are always emanating from Krishna at all times. Are these existing souls and not new souls?

Krishna is eternally emanating everyone from Himself. We are all His eternal emanations. So all souls are eternally existing. It's not at some time there are brand new souls before created. This is confirmed as follows in the Bhagavad-gita, Chapter Two, Verse 12:

na tv evāhaṁ jātu nāsaṁ
na tvaṁ neme janādhipāḥ
na caiva na bhaviṣyāmaḥ
sarve vayam ataḥ param

"Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings; nor in the future shall any of us cease to be."

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
