Help me find answer for this question: If a person accepts the a spiritual master and receives first initiation, but after some time his spiritual master passes away, he leaves his body, does this mean that the disciple won’t be able to receive second initiation and thus will not be able to receive liberation in this on this incarnation?
And one more question: How should woman act correctly according to her dharma, her duty? Should take shelter of the bona fide spiritual master or should she just serve her husband?
My respects to you!
Svetlana
My Dear Svetlana,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
If one strictly follows his initiation vows, first initiation is sufficient in itself for liberation. If his spiritual master has departed and he is qualified for second initiation, he can receive second initiation from another spiritual master. This does not change who is his spiritual master. The spiritual master who gave him first initiation remains as his spiritual master for all of eternity.
A woman’s duty is to take shelter of the bona fide spiritual master through the process of initiation and fully dedicate herself heart and soul for serving her spiritual master for all of eternity.
I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.
Your ever well-wisher,
