Question: Bath Required Before Chanting?

Guruji, I am chanting a Shiva mantra after eating non-veg food. After eating non-veg can we chant before bathing? I asked many people. They told if you eat non-veg, you must take bath before you do your chanting.

Answer: Chanting Hare Krishna is the Ultimate Bath

Those who eat non-veg, i.e. those eat meat, are obliged by the stringent law of karma to become animals in their next life and life after life to be eaten by the very same animals that they ate in their present life. Therefore we advise everyone to give up meat eating. To get free from the reactions of all sinful activities Lord Sri Krishna instructs us in the Bhagavad-gita that we should surrender to Him. Therefore my best advice to you that you regularly chant the Hare Krishna mahamantra:

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare

This mantra has so much powerful that it will benefit you greatly whether you chant it before or after bathing. Chanting Hare Krishna is the ultimate bath.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
