On 23 December 2016 I was blessed with the most auspicious opportunity to join Lord Caitanya's sankirtan party in downtown Melbourne, Australia. When I arrived I found a huge party of devotees chanting and dancing in an ecstasy that was so powerful and attractive that all the non-devotee bystanders were also sucked into the most glorious Hare Krishna kirtan by watching and hearing. Recently a materialist friend wrote me arguing that what is stated in scriptures should not be accepted as true unless it is based on empirical evidence and rational thinking. The fallacy of his line of logic is that he is trying to comprehend that which is spiritual with his blunt material senses. This is not possible.
