No Gaps for Maya
Nowadays there are so many so-called time management gurus who teach us how not to waste our time by always being fully absorbed in material advancement. What they are actually doing is teaching us how to be fully absorbed in wasting our time. It should be noted in this connection that the original and real time management guru is Srila Rupa Goswami. He teaches us "avyartha-kälatvam" that we should not waste a single moment, that we should always be fully absorbed in the transcendental loving service of Lord Sri Krishna. This should be our life's policy. Rupa Gosvami advises that an advanced devotee should always see whether his time is being wasted or properly utilized. To always keep this vision is the perfection of our existence.
An example of this was told to us by His Holiness Vishnujana Swami. One day he was with Srila Prabhupada in his quarters in Los Angeles. Referring to the harmonium sitting there in his room Srila Prabhupada said, "No gaps for maya," that when he has some free moments he can play his harmonium and sing devotional songs. This is a wonderful example for us from Srila Prabhupada of how to always remain fully absorbed in Krishna consciousness. We must keep ourselves always engaged 24 hours a day in the service of the Lord with no gaps for maya.

Question: Is Surrendering to Krishna a Gamble?
Krishna says don't gamble, but we are putting odds on Krishna. And "don't gamble" comes from Krishna. Where is the logic?S.K.
Answer: Surrender to Krishna is a Sure Bet
Krishna is not a gamble. He is a sure bet. Give your life to Krishna and the odds are 100% that you will attain the supreme destination. This is not a gamble. Even if you think it is a gamble, still you should give your life to Krishna and achieve the topmost perfection.Sankarshan Das Adhikari
