There's No Reason For You to Ever Suffer Again
There's absolutely no reason for you to ever suffer again. Suffering is an unnatural state for you, the eternal living being. It only happens when you misidentify yourself with your temporary material body. All you have to do to become forever free from the multi-varieties of miseries which are constantly attacking you is to stop trying to be something that are you are not, namely your material body, and start being what you actually are, the eternal spirit-soul servant of God. Try it. You'll absoloutely love it!

In The Nectar of Instruction it says, "One is forbidden to observe the activities of a pure Vaisnava from a material point of view." What does this mean? What would be an example of this offense?

Question: How To Not Materially See the Pure Devotee?

Answer: See Him As an Associate of Krishna
This means that we should not see the pure devotee as an ordinary person. For example, one might think, "This devotee eats and sleeps just like I do. Therefore there is no difference between him and me." Externally the pure devotee may appear to be just like us. But within his heart he is directly associating with Krishna at every minute. Therefore he is living in a different state of consciousness from the one in which in we are living.Sankarshan Das Adhikari
