Don't Bite the Hand that Feeds You

This material world is a world of ingrates, ungrateful people. We do not appreciate the wonderful mercy that God is bestowing upon us at every moment. And we also do not appreciate the wonderful mercy that the saintly devotees of the Lord are bestowing upon us at every moment. Instead of appreciating their loving kindness we find fault with them seeing them as ordinary materialists. In this way we are guilty of biting the hand that feeds us. This is the greatest offense. It is known as Vaisnava aparadha. To free ourselves from the grievous reactions to this offense we must contritely fall at the feet of the Vaisnava whom we have offended and beg their forgiveness. And then we must never dare to be offensive again. The Vaisnavas sacrifice their lives to save us from our entanglement in the cycle of birth and death. Therefore instead of finding fault with them we should always be singing their glories.
