Question: How Could We Fall From The Spiritual World?

Were we originally with Krishna in Goloka, the spiritual world, or in the brahmajyoti, His divine effulgence? If we were with Krishna in Goloka, how is it possible that we could have gotten the desire to enjoy separately from Him? The soul is always pure (either in material world or spiritual world). So how could the material desire to enjoy separately come to the soul in the spiritual world? Is this desire coming from soul or from the mind?

Kindly enlighten me with the answers. I'm highly indebted to you

Yours in service,
Vishnu

Answer: Have You Ever Fallen Asleep?

Have you ever fallen asleep?

We were originally with Krishna in His divine pastimes in the spiritual world. Just as one may fall asleep and dream he is something other than what he is really is, sometimes the living being enters into a dreamlike state and thinks that he can enjoy independently from the Lord. It is not his actual position, it is a dreamlike state in which he thinks that he is the center of the universe. But when he comes in contact with the pure devotee of Krishna he is awakened from his slumber and brought back to his original position as the eternal servant of the Lord in His divine pastimes. The soul always remain pure, but just as a cloud may sometimes block our vision of the sun, in the same way the polluted mind may sometimes block one's vision of his eternal actual spiritual identity.
